Day 8

Sorry this comes a day late. I didnt have a chance to update the blog yesterday.
Andersen is hanging in there :) He is still on a decreased amount of milk followed by a lot of spitting up and sometimes gagging. After the heart episodes on Sunday they put him on an apnea monitor for 24 hours. So today (day 9) they will read the results of that and take some blood work.

Mandy got her staples out yesterday. I think she is relieved to have that behind her. My mom went and stayed with Andersen for the afternoon and evening while Mandy was here in Bloomington. After he appointment she and Joel came home to spend some time with the kids. The kids were super excited to see mommy and daddy. They were bouncing off the walls and talking 100 miles per hour. It was so cute :)
So all in all everyone continues to do well. It is still stressful and tiring trying to make all of the ends meet, in every way, but God is faithful and is giving each one of us exactly what we need to make it through this time. God is using Andersen Zechariah to bring us back to Him. If you haven't read the book of Zechariah lately I encourage to do that. It is an amazing story of a simple prophet that God used in mighty ways for His Kingdom.
Have a blessed day! (I will try to update again tonight)
Love, Alyssa

The pics are precious, thanks for sharing! And I have to agree, perfect name for a priceless angel like Andersen. Will be praying today for his intake, and to get rid of some of those machines...Also praying for the older sibs as they try to cope w/out mom and dad. Praying for rest for mom and dad, and healing and peace for mom.

Hugs to all!
Kristi
